  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 6 Good-quality pork sausages
  • 6 rashers rindless streaky bacon cut into 2.5cm/1in lengths
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • ½-1 tsp hot chilli powder or smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 400 g tin tomatoes blitzed
  • 300 ml veg stock
  • 1 can kidney beans


  • Fry sausages after two minutes add your chopped bacon, when they begin to develop colour add in your chopped onion, garlic and peppers, sauté until onions are translucent
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Add in your chilling powder or flakes and your turmeric
  • Now place your kidney beans, blitzed tomatoes and stick into the pan bring to the boil and reduce the heat, leave to simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the sausages are fully cooked and the sauce reduces to coat the sausages.
