Smoked Mackerel Crostini

Make your own crackers by slicing day old bread. They will cook in the oven in 7-8 minutes at 180˚C.

  • 1 pack peppered smoked mackerel
  • 1 tbsp. crème fraiche
  • 2 tbsp. cream cheese
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • 1 pack of crackers
  • 1 bunch chives to decorate


  • In a bowl, break the mackerel into pieces. Add the crème fraiche, the cream cheese, and crush with a fork until soften. Check the seasoning.
  • Spoon the mackerel pate on the crackers. Zest the lemon over the crostini and drizzle some lemon juice over.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle a few chives over the crostini.
  • Serve immediately.
