  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 red chilli sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 lime juice and zest
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter smooth
  • 1 tbsp pinch turmeric powder as only a colorant, so very little!
  • 4-6 tbsp coconut milk
  • 200 g prawns shelled
  • 150 g panko breadcrumb
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp kimchi we used


  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, fish sauce, soy sauce, curry powder, turmeric, and coconut milk with the peanut butter.
  • In a larger bowl, place the prawn tails. Add 2 or 3 tbsp of the satay mixture to the bowl with the prawns and marinate for 3-10 minutes.
  • Toss in breadcrumb.
  • Preheat over medium low heat a saucepan with 1 cm of sunflower oil or preheat the air fryer to 200˚C. add the prawns and sauté for 2 -3 minutes on both sides until cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with some salad leaves and kimchi if desired.
