Cheesy Beef and potato gratin

  • Slow Cooker


  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 kg potatoes peeled and sliced thinly
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 tsp. dried mix herbs
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper
  • 300 g cheddar cheese grated
  • 150 ml chicken or vegetable stock warm
  • 1-2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce


  • over medium high heat, in a saute pan, Brown the beef. drain fat if needed. Add a touch of salt and pepper to season.
  • In a small bowl combine the cinnamon powder, herbs, salt and pepper.
  • Add half of the potatoes in the slow cooker. Sprinkle over half of the onions, garlic, half of the seasonings, half of the meat, and half of the cheese. Repeat the layers again.
  • Drizzle over the broth and worcerstershire sauce evenly over the layers.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Do not open the lid during the cooking time.
  • Serve and enjoy!
