Ingredients
- 300 g plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 70 g plain natural yogurt
- ½ egg beaten
- 150 ml water lukewarm
- 30 ml rapeseed oil
- clarified butter to serve
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and dust lightly with flour.
- Combine the flours, baking powder, salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl whisk together the yogurt, egg and the lukewarm water and oil.
- Pour the yogurt mixture into the flour mixture and combine until a soft sticky dough is formed. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 10 equal pieces. Form each piece into a ball and arrange on the baking sheet. Lightly brush the dough with oil, cover with cling film, and let sit 1 hour to settle before shaping.
- Preheat the barbecue or griddle pan over a medium heat.
- Roll each piece of dough on a lightly floured surface until it is disc shaped. Flatten with a rolling pin or your hands, and place over the barbecue on a medium heat for 2 – 3 minutes on each side until the dough is fully cooked, being careful to ensure it doesn’t burn.
- Brush with clarified butter and Serve immediately.
